Among Us TV Show on Paramount+: Full Cast and Review 2026

The Among Us TV show surprise dropped all 10 episodes on Paramount+ on June 5, 2026, with zero warning and an A-list voice cast nobody saw coming. No trailer rollout, no press tour, no countdown. Yvette Nicole Brown and Liv Hewson walked onto the Summer Game Fest stage in Los Angeles, made the announcement, and the show was already live.

Among Us is a 10-episode animated series on Paramount+ created by Owen Dennis and produced by CBS Eye Animation Productions and Titmouse. It follows a crew of monochromatic spaceship workers who must identify an alien shapeshifter hiding among them before it kills everyone. The full season dropped June 5, 2026.

The show had been completed since late 2024. Creator Owen Dennis confirmed on his blog in October 2024 that the series was all finished and wrapped in a bow. Then it went silent for months.

Then came June 5, 2026. During Summer Game Fest Live, Yvette Nicole Brown and Liv Hewson took the stage, premiered a trailer, and revealed the show was already streaming. All 10 episodes available immediately. Paramount also made the first episode free on YouTube. In an interview the same day, Owen Dennis explained the thinking: "People like surprises."

The announcement came alongside a new game, Among Us Stories: On Guard, also revealed at SGF for PC and Nintendo Switch.

Owen Dennis is the showrunner, creator, and director. His first major credit was as a writer and storyboard artist on Regular Show. He then created Infinity Train, which premiered on Cartoon Network in 2019 and became a cult phenomenon over four seasons.

In 2022, Warner Bros. Discovery removed Infinity Train from HBO Max. Dennis was openly critical. CBS Studios signed him to an overall deal, and in October 2023 announced he would create the Among Us animated series. Titmouse, the studio behind Star Trek: Lower Decks and Big Mouth, handles the animation.

Each character is identified by color rather than a name, faithful to the game.

A crew of eccentric, monochromatic workers are aboard a spaceship transporting junk across the galaxy. An alien shapeshifter has infiltrated the crew. It is pretending to be one of them. Its goals are to create confusion, sabotage the ship, and kill everyone on board. The crew has to figure out who is not who they say they are before it is too late.

Critics describe it as Alien meets Brooklyn Nine-Nine. The show oscillates between genuine tension and workplace comedy. Owen Dennis described his visual approach as drawing on anime-inspired sequences that break from the show's typical style during moments of intense emotion. Rated TV-14, episodes run approximately 49 minutes.

GamesRadar's review called it a show with flashes of creative brilliance while noting it is not quite as addictive as the game itself. The Wrap described it as a show that feels as tense and delightfully silly as the wildly popular indie game it's based on rather than a corporate cash grab. Whether it lands as a genuine hit or a cult show remains to be seen. The shadow drop means there is no traditional opening-night ratings window.
